    Product Compatability

SizeX IMCStips can process samples in both solubilizing and denaturing conditions. The ionic strength of the sample and eluant should be at least 20 mM to eliminate the effect of negatively charged groups on the sorbent. For protein separation, buffers with > 50 mM ionic strength is recommended. Compatibility chart below includes chemical examples but not limited to the list. Avoid strong oxidizing agents when using this product.

    Compatability Examples
    pH 2-10
    Temperature 4-80°C
    Alcohol Up to 20 percent
Chaotropic agents Up to 6-M guanidine
    Reducing agents Dithiothreitol, Mercaptoethanol
Detergents Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), CHAPS, Triton X-100
Volatile buffer salts Pyridine, acetic acid, ammonium formate, ammonium bicarbonate
