How are IMCStips® different from other conventional tip-based extraction products?

IMCStips® contain loosely packed resin and employ in-tip dispersive extractions. This leads to lower backpressure during pipetting and better extraction efficiencies, making IMCStips more automation-friendly than other commercially available tip-based products.

Are IMCStips® compatible with all automation platforms?

The IMCStips can be applied across many different automation platforms, including automated liquid handlers (ALH) from Hamilton, Integra, and Dynamic Devices. Currently, many of our developed workflows have been designed using ALH devices from Hamilton Robotics, however, IMCStip workflows can be applied across many different ALH devices.

Will I have to develop my own automation method to use the IMCStips®?

For all automated IMCStip workflows, we have developed corresponding automated methods that are installed by IMCS Application Scientists and can be customized to fit your specific needs. We don't just provide tips, we provide full automation workflows with customized scripts.

What type of resin is used in IMCStips®?

Depending on the desired application, different resins can be used inside the IMCStips. Generally, commercially available resins are used.

What if you don't have my particular application listed on your website?

We consistently work with our customers to develop customized workflows to address bottlenecks in sample preparation protocols. Please reach out to us about your particular workflow, and we will work with you to develop methods that fit your needs. See our Custom Solutions page for more information.
